Enterprise Support Services Officer – Contractual

Position Purpose: ESS officer will be responsible for Installing and configuring desktop/laptop hardware, operating systems and applications and vendors and client end support. Troubleshooting of office equipment like printer, copier, scanner, video conference equipment, projectors and LCD TVs etc

Experience Required: 0 – 1 year of relevant experience
Key Responsibilities: – Installing and configuring desktop/laptop hardware, operating systems and applications;
Monitoring and maintaining computer systems;
– Support MS-Windows, MS-outlook, MS-office, etc..
– Talking staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone;
– Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults;
– Replacing parts as required;
– Providing 24×7 support, including procedural documentation;
– Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
– Supporting the roll-out of new applications;
– Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;
– Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs;
– Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
– Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time;
– Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals (e.g., software developers);
– Provides highest level of technical support when necessary;
– Testing and evaluating new technology;
– Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment;
– Strong customer service skills are important in this position;
– Documents problems and resolutions;
– Configures and installs software for IT users’ desktops and laptops;
– Resolve system errors and problems as they occur applying the appropriate fixes to those problems;
– Track help desk call logs;
– Troubleshooting of office equipment like printer, copier, scanner, video conference equipment, projectors and LCD TVs
– To remain available 24×7 for providing technical guidance to Telenor Pakistan staff or other IT teams regarding all urgent requests related to any his/her domain.
Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas: – Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software usage and troubleshooting
